Location
Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers modern and large rooms with very comfortable beds, but they face West and become very hot in the afternoons due to direct sunlight. The noise levels were high, making it difficult to sleep, especially with balcony doors that didn't close perfectly. The cleanliness was not up to standard, with unpleasant odors from the bedding and towels, and most toiletries were only provided upon request.
The hotel offers a mix of excellent and disappointing features. The rooms are fairly small and in desperate need of renovation but provide sessions of massage. The service is a mixed bag with aggressive behavior yet excellent and cheerful staff. The location is fantastic with lovely views of the Nile, despite being very noisy at times. The dining experience varies from very poor to spot on, depending on the offerings. Overall, it's a hotel with ups and downs that can be a wonderful place to enjoy the view of the Nile River and the city.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The location was amazing, right on the Nile with comfortable beds and a great view, but the noise from river party boats at night was disruptive, and housekeeping missed my room a couple of times during my stay.
The hotel offers nice and comfortable rooms, but they may feel a bit old. The staff is excellent, ensuring a spotless experience. The location provides a quiet island view overlooking the river Nile, though soundproofing could be improved due to loud music. Overall, a pleasant stay with some minor drawbacks.
Although the room was not ready upon our arrival, which was disappointing, it turned out to be delightful, clean, and welcoming with nice touches like art books and chocolates. However, the rooms are very tired and in need of renovations, especially new carpets and regrouted bathrooms. The service was a mix of professional and friendly, with standout individuals like Mohamed Ibrahim and Mr Richard, while some areas lacked efficiency and had loud staff. The location was beautiful, being in the center of Cairo close to everywhere, although the map can be deceiving about accessibility. The dining options, though limited, were up to standard. Overall, the hotel offers a mixture of positives and negatives.
I had a lovely stay at the hotel, with clean and comfy rooms and super friendly staff. The view of the Pyramids and Citadel from my room was amazing, but the high price for full Nile view rooms might not be worth it. The personalized touches like flowers and heart-shaped blankets, along with the complimentary cake and dessert, added to the experience.
The hotel offers panoramic rooms with all needed amenities and the best views of Cairo, although there can be a cigarette smell in the room. The rooms are very comfortable and well-equipped. The service is excellent under the leadership of Mr Yasser, providing high-level hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. The location is particularly good for a view of the Nile, but may not always feel safe or clean. The dining experience at Le SUD is at the highest standard, with various delicious options available. The facilities are well-maintained and include a nice pool with a great Nile River view.
Staying at the hotel was a pleasant experience overall, with clean and comfortable rooms offering a good view, although there were some delays with the lift. The service, under the attentive leadership of Mr Yasser, was very nice and efficient in meeting guest needs. The location, though busy, provided a central oasis with a beautiful view of the Nile River. The dining experience was perfect, especially with a variety of delicious dishes and a lovely garden setup.
The hotel offers beautiful views of the city and is equipped with the latest facilities, but the rooms seem old and not very clean. The service is attentive and helpful but reservations were not managed well. The location, though not as expected on the map, offers the best view of the Nile. The dining experience is outstanding, especially with dinners overlooking the Nile. It’s a paradise worth the visit, but service could be improved.
My stay at the hotel was truly amazing. The rooms had a nice view over the Nile with a spectacular view of the Nile & the Pyramids in the background, although it felt set up for one guest rather than two as there was only one bathrobe, slippers, and mug provided. The service was a mix with some staff being unfriendly and unhelpful, but the housekeeping and duty manager stood out with their welcoming attitude. The location was perfect, easy to reach, and one of the best in Cairo, with friendly and helpful staff always around. The dining experience was splendid, offering a fantastic array of Egyptian and French cuisine, although missing smoked salmon from a previous stay.
The hotel is perfectly located with stunning Nile views and comfortable rooms. The service was mostly outstanding, although some instances were less than impressive. The dining experience by the Nile was exceptional. Overall, a great value for the price.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The room was spacious with a view over the Nile, but it was not super clean and had a lingering smell of cigarette smoke. The location was beautiful right on the Nile, but responsiveness from staff could be improved. The dining options were limited but sufficient. Overall, worth considering for the view and friendly service.
The hotel's heritage is reflected in its relatively small but clean rooms, with the luxury club room offering a splendid Nile view. The service, especially from Marian, Hayam, Amre, and the team, is exceptionally attentive and friendly. The location provides a unique blend of a tranquil Nile view in the heart of bustling Cairo. The dining experience is top-notch, offering a diverse menu, especially exceptional coffee and juices.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The beautiful location near the Nile River was a highlight, but there were some issues with the room cleanliness and maintenance. The service was friendly and accommodating, making my overall stay enjoyable.
I had an amazing experience at this hotel. The rooms are modern and large with very comfortable beds, offering breathtaking views of the full River from the balconies. The service was extremely helpful and pleasant, especially in the Club lounge where the staff provided superb service with great smiles. The location is great, right near the Nile river bank, offering a peaceful escape from the city noise while being centrally located. The dining experience was unforgettable, with expansive and high-quality meals every day. Overall, a top-notch stay with a few minor drawbacks.
